# BNB Gas Fee Requirement

#### Understanding Gas Fees on ARBYDEX

ARBYDEX operates on the BNB Smart Chain. Every on chain transaction requires a network fee, commonly known as a **Gas Fee**.

Gas fees on the BNB Smart Chain are paid using BNB.

#### Wallet Balance: BNB and USDT

ARBYDEX Wallet Balance supports both **BNB and USDT**.

Each asset has a different function:

| Asset | Function                                              |
| ----- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| BNB   | Used to pay BNB Smart Chain network gas fees          |
| USDT  | Used for supported platform balances and transactions |

Having USDT in your Wallet Balance does not automatically cover the BNB gas fee. A sufficient BNB balance must be available separately in your wallet.

#### When Is BNB Needed?

You may need BNB to cover gas fees when performing on chain actions, such as:

* Depositing assets
* Activating or managing Nodes
* Transferring balances
* Sending assets to an external wallet
* Other blockchain transactions

The required amount depends on network conditions and transaction complexity.

#### Keep Both Assets Available

Before using ARBYDEX, make sure your Wallet Balance contains the appropriate assets:

**BNB Balance**\
For paying network gas fees.

**USDT Balance**\
For supported platform transactions and balances.

Even if you have sufficient USDT, a transaction may fail if there is not enough BNB available for the network fee.

#### Important Reminder

Always use the correct network:

**Network:** BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)\
**Gas Fee Token:** BNB\
**Supported Asset:** USDT

Keep a small amount of BNB in your Wallet Balance before performing transactions.
