# Built on BNB Smart Chain

ARBYDEX is built around **BNB Smart Chain**, a high performance blockchain network designed to support decentralized applications and decentralized finance.

BNB Smart Chain is EVM compatible, meaning it supports Ethereum compatible smart contracts and tooling. BNB is used as the native asset for transaction fees and smart contract execution on the network.

#### Why BNB Smart Chain?

**EVM Compatibility**

BNB Smart Chain supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine ecosystem, allowing developers to use established Ethereum compatible development tools and smart contract technologies.

**DeFi Infrastructure**

BNB Smart Chain is designed to support decentralized applications and DeFi protocols, making it a natural environment for applications that interact with decentralized markets.

**Transaction Infrastructure**

BNB is used to pay transaction fees on BNB Smart Chain. This is important for ARBYDEX because blockchain based execution requires network transactions and therefore interaction with the underlying chain infrastructure.

**Fast Finality**

BNB Smart Chain documentation describes fast block production and fast finality characteristics, supporting applications that require timely blockchain confirmation. Current BSC documentation states that with Fast Finality enabled, finalized blocks can generally be reached within two blocks when sufficient validator participation is available.

**BNB Smart Chain And ARBYDEX**

The relationship can be represented as

#### Network Focus

ARBYDEX currently focuses its core wallet and transaction workflows around the **BNB Smart Chain ecosystem**.

Supported deposit assets currently include:

**BNB**

**USDT on BEP 20**

Users must always verify the correct asset and network before sending funds.

Sending an unsupported token or using an incorrect network may result in permanent loss of funds.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://arbydex.gitbook.io/arbydex/introduction/built-on-bnb-smart-chain.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
