# Recovery Phrase

### Your Most Important Wallet Credential

A **Recovery Phrase** is a sequence of words generated for your Web3 Wallet.

It may be used to restore access to the wallet if the wallet needs to be recovered.

Because of its importance, your Recovery Phrase should be treated as a highly sensitive credential.

#### ⚠️ Never Share Your Recovery Phrase

Never provide your Recovery Phrase to:

• ARBYDEX support\
• Telegram administrators\
• Customer service representatives\
• Friends or other users\
• Websites requesting wallet recovery\
• Unknown applications\
• Anyone claiming to help recover your funds

**ARBYDEX support will never require you to disclose your Recovery Phrase.**

#### How to Store Your Recovery Phrase

We strongly recommend storing your Recovery Phrase in a secure private location.

Consider:

**Write it down**

Record the words carefully and keep the physical copy somewhere secure.

**Keep multiple secure backups**

If you create a backup, make sure every copy is stored securely.

**Keep it offline**

Avoid storing your Recovery Phrase in locations that can easily be accessed through your online accounts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://arbydex.gitbook.io/arbydex/security/recovery-phrase.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
