# Transaction Hash

### Your Blockchain Transaction ID

A **Transaction Hash**, also called a **Transaction ID** or **TX Hash**, is a unique identifier associated with a blockchain transaction.

It can be used to locate and verify a transaction on a compatible blockchain explorer.

A transaction hash may look similar to:

{% code expandable="true" %}

```
0x8f3a...7c21
```

{% endcode %}

The complete hash is significantly longer.

#### What a Transaction Hash Can Show

Depending on the transaction type, a blockchain explorer may provide information such as:

• Transaction status\
• Block number\
• Timestamp\
• From address\
• To address\
• Value\
• Token transfers\
• Gas used\
• Gas price\
• Transaction fee\
• Smart contract interaction

#### Why the Transaction Hash Matters

The Transaction Hash provides a direct reference to the blockchain record.

Instead of relying only on information displayed inside the application, users can use the hash to independently inspect the corresponding transaction on BNB Smart Chain.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://arbydex.gitbook.io/arbydex/transaction-hash.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
